Meet Our Ignite Hot Yoga Team!

At Ignite Hot Yoga, our team is truly the heartbeat of our community. Each instructor brings their own unique style, energy, and personality to the studio, creating a space that’s alive with authenticity and passion. Together, they inspire, challenge, and support every student who steps onto their mat, fostering connection both on and off the mat. We’re deeply grateful for the individuality and heart each team member brings. It’s what makes Ignite more than just a yoga studio; it’s a vibrant, welcoming family.

Chuck Betker

Chuck’s journey into yoga began unknowingly in the summer of 1997. At 17 years old, he attended a week-long wrestling camp. An intense experience both mentally and physically. Days were packed with early morning runs, back-to-back wrestling practices, and team activities that left everyone exhausted.

One evening, after several long days on the mat, a coach asked everyone to lie down, close their eyes, and follow along with a guided exercise designed to ease fatigue and stress. For the next ten minutes, the coach led the group through what Chuck would later recognize as a light form of yoga nidra. That simple experience planted a seed that would grow into a lifelong passion for healing and mindfulness.

A few years later, after trying various jobs, Chuck felt a calling toward a healing profession and became a Licensed Massage Therapist.

In 2012, Chuck and Kami welcomed both their daughter and their first yoga studio into the world. Chuck began working full-time as a massage therapist at the studio. In this time he deepened his personal yoga practice and connection to the community. In 2016, he took the leap and completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

When a last-minute opportunity arose, Chuck taught his very first yoga class with just twenty minutes’ notice and he’s been teaching ever since. Known for his high energy, uplifting spirit, and great taste in music, Chuck brings a unique blend of strength, relaxation, and playfulness to every class. His goal is simple: to help students feel good, move freely, and leave class smiling.

Kami Betker

Kami took her first yoga class in 2006, looking for a way to support her wellness and weight-loss journey. She joined friends for a Bikram Hot Yoga class, though she barely made it through the first ten minutes before spending the rest of class resting on her mat. Despite the challenge, something about the experience resonated deeply, and she knew she had found exactly what she needed.

Inspired by her own transformation, Kami completed her first of several 200-hour teacher trainings in 2010 and began teaching at local studios. Just two years later, in 2012, she took a leap of faith and opened her first yoga studio, creating a welcoming space where students of all backgrounds could explore the practice that had so profoundly changed her life.

Her passion for sharing yoga continued to evolve. In 2018, Kami and her husband, Chuck, brought hot yoga to the Marysville community and launched Best Bet Yoga Teacher Training School, expanding her mission to guide and empower the next generation of yoga teachers. What began as a local hot yoga offering grew into what is now Ignite Hot Yoga a vibrant, community-centered studio dedicated to helping students connect mind, body, and soul.

In 2022, Kami united her love for yoga and travel by launching Ignite Your Spark Retreats, taking students beyond the studio to experience wellness, adventure, and connection around the world.

Kami’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that the teacher is always a student. She continues to deepen her education through ongoing trainings, workshops, and self-study. Her greatest joy comes from witnessing students and teachers alike discover their strength, growth, and purpose through the practice of yoga.

When she’s not on the mat, you can find Kami enjoying time with her family, dancing to her favorite music, or exploring the world.

Lynn Moser

I’ve been a yoga instructor since 2017. I started my yoga journey in 2007 during college as a PE credit. That’s when I fell in love. Eventually, after many years of schooling, and unfulfilling career, life and yoga classes, I decided to become a full time yoga instructor. Since getting my 200HR, I have also received certifications in Pranayama & Meditation, Buti Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Injury Prevention and Reiki Level 2. My passion for this practice is to safely and wholeheartedly lead others to their own self love and healing.

In my spare time you’ll find me in the woods walking with my dogs, reading and at book clubs, or hanging with my husband and friends at concerts, museums, wineries and abroad! I hope to see you in class soon!

Alyssa Rohde

Alyssa’s yoga journey began in her late teens in her first apartment, where she followed YouTube videos and explored yoga for its fitness benefits. She took her first hot yoga class in 2018 and has been in love ever since. Yoga brought her a sense of calm and mental space, while also supporting her passion for weightlifting.

In 2023, she completed The Best Bet Teacher Training and has been an active member of the Spark community ever since. Her mission is to create a space where everyone in all bodies feel comfortable, safe, and supported in their yoga practice.

Born with her left foot turned all the way around, Alyssa seeks to inspire others to move their bodies and honor themselves, no matter what life throws their way. In her free time, she enjoys going to the Spa, spending time with her husband and two daughters and going on yoga retreats with her favorite pals.

Amanda Gilliam

Amanda started her yoga journey while living abroad in Australia in her early 20s. She instantly found the physical and mental benefits helpful. With a history of surgeries, Yoga resonated with Amanda, seeing it as a way to strengthen and promote joint mobility, using it as tool to prevent injury. Shortly there after falling in love with the idea of using breath to change moods and stay present.

Her life took a turn when she quit her career to be a stay at home mom, and grow her family. Seeking more, she decided to take on a dream of becoming a yoga teacher. Completing Best Bet Yoga’s 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2023. A transformative experience.

Joining her class you’ll find a focus on alignment, safely moving in and out of backbends, and finding mind-body connection.
Amanda Specializes in Hatha, Yin, and Prenatal yoga.

Off the mat, you’ll find Amanda grateful for all she has, juggling her 4 children, two under two and two teens.
Travel, spas, sunshine, good food, her golden retriever, and a rare date night with her husband are a few things that bring her joy.

My name is April! I’m a mom of 2, special education teacher & love to laugh! I enjoy anything that keeps me active, trying new foods & traveling to new places! Brittany Bock

Hi, I’m Brittany, I started taking yoga classes while I was looking for a fresh start. I felt the difference in myself and the world around me. I decided to start teaching yoga with aspirations to guide people to a similar empowerment and with a whole lot of laughter along the way. I lead Domestic and International Yoga retreats, workshops, and studio classes. Join me for fun and challenging practices!

Christiana Culver

When I was 14, I started taking yoga classes and instantly fell in love. Yoga makes me feel empowered, grounded and at peace. My practice taught me how to love myself and live a life of purpose. I started yoga teacher training at age 17 before I graduated high school. I graduated with my 200 RYT and ever since then I have been teaching. Other than yoga I love to get outside, spend time with my family and travel. I spend a lot of my time camping, snowboarding, hiking, and paddle boarding. My dream is to explore the world and hold space for people to discover and heal their mind, body, and soul.

Elizabeth Cummins

Meet Elizabeth – Scientist by Day, Yoga Sculpt Queen by Night!

Elizabeth first rolled out her yoga mat during grad school, when organic chemistry was proving to be just a little intense. Seven plus years later, she’s still flowing strong, and has been joyfully teaching since January 2022. Her classes blend breath, movement, and intention especially when it’s time to tackle the tough stuff (hello, Sculpt!).

She’s all about empowering students to honor where their bodies are right now, and if she can get you to dance mid-class? That’s a total win. Expect upbeat energy, a sprinkle of a challenge, and a whole lot of fun!

When she’s not teaching or practicing, you’ll find her curled up with a good book or crocheting adorable stuffed animals because everyone needs a soft, squishy side to balance the strength.

Garnett Dixson

I have always been into sports and being active. 20+ years ago I got a VHS tape of a morning yoga routine and just loved how I felt afterwards, relaxed and energized. It was an amazing feeling. I really enjoy the more mindful practices, Hatha and Yin top my list right now but the list is always changing and growing.

I wanted to become a teacher first because its so amazing and it has helped me so much with being comfortable with who I am and accepting of myself, but also because you don’t see teachers like me in the studio and yoga really is for EVERY-BODY.

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training December 2021 with Global Soul Yoga at Balance Hot Yoga in Renton. I like to bring my smile and personality into the hot room whether I am teaching or my own practice.

Heidi Heideman

My love for yoga started in my early 50’s. After my first hot yoga class, I was hooked and this is where it began.  The feeling of being able to connect the mind and body is like no other feeling. In less than a year later I knew I wanted to share this practice with others and signed up for YTT with Best Bet Yoga. My favorite class to teach is Hatha as I am able to see students practice and become stronger with every class they take. Since receiving my YTT I have also received a certificate to teach Sculpt.

My passion outside the studio is being able to be around friends and my community, and of course my amazing family. I love to be able to give back and support those around me.

Jessica Garrett

Jessica found yoga after debilitating back pain in 2016. After exploring relief through chiropractic care and physical therapy, yoga was the only avenue that provided relief.

Jessica is an Occupational Therapist by trade and realized the benefits of combining the two together. So in 2020 she enrolled in yoga teacher training by Best Bet Yoga and started her journey as a yoga teacher. She believes in the power on continuing education and has continued on this journey by completing Bernie Clark’s 50 hour Yin yoga training additionally Paddle Board yoga training, Barre training and certification, as well as several others. She is always looking for more ways to learn through self study at home, exploring classes, books and learning through others etc.

Jessica is the mother of four beautiful children and loves to spend time with family and friends (can’t beat a good Bunco night!), run, workout, read, knit, and explore new activities.

“Teaching has been one of the most rewarding jobs for my soul, I love planning, leading, and practicing with students!”

Katy Rader

Yoga found me first when I was 16 and needed focus. Since then it has ebbed and flowed in and out of my life sometimes with great intensity and presence and sometimes it’s waves a little quieter and more spread out. My roots started in Ashtanga but I’ve fallen in love deeply with so many different forms; Baptiste, Bikram, Jivmukti… Now that I’m over 40 I’m still changing up how and why I’m still so in love with yoga. As an avid runner, cyclist , swimmer, group fitness instructor and mom of three kids under 10, I find myself needing to decompress and rekindle that relationship with all the mindbogglingly amazing moving parts of this human body…and yoga does that for me. It keeps my injuries in check, my mind focused and my heart full. I am reminded each and every time I take that first slow breath in class of just what a beautiful existence I am a part of and I’m so grateful for all the badass ways this body can move!

Kevin Gilbert

My yoga journey began in 2011. I practiced Hatha for about six months before discovering Power, which felt like a perfect fit. For many years I focused almost exclusively on power classes before re-discovering my love for Hatha practice. In 2024 I completed my 200-hour YTT with Best Bet Yoga Teacher Training. This was a transformative experience that greatly improved my own practice and prepared me to teach! One of my favorite things to do and places to be is in the hot room guiding students through a yoga experience. Whether you are a first timer or seasoned yogi, I would love to see you in class.

Come do yoga with me!

One of her favorite ingredients is kabocha squash or squashes in general because of their versatility between sweet and savory dishes. The use of bitter gourd in other countries is always a must have when she travels.

Classes with Samantha focus on intentional transitions and technical exploration within each pose. She leads with mindful motifs that build into longer sequences that give you the opportunity to create positive connections with your strength, stability and flexibility along the way.

Scott Rodenhizer

Scott fell in love with yoga in 2018 after he had injured his back. Through yoga he found the joy in movement again and freedom from pain. Scott loved seeing his progress and was excited to share that experience with others in a group setting. He did his teacher training in 2019 through Best Bet. While taking this journey he found a voice he didn't know he had as he continued to evolve to find greater confidence and love of the process.

Scott loves games of all varieties (Video, Board, TTRPG). He also has great fascination with mythology and would be happy to discuss it. He sometime bases his class on the deities of the different pantheons.

One of Scott's greatest yoga moments has been being able to touch his heels in Camel. He guesses being in less pain is pretty great too.

Scott loves taking students through their yoga journey whatever that looks like. He is happy to share the asanas with students hoping to make them both accessible and exciting. Scott hopes to see you in class so he can celebrate yoga with you.

Shana Guest

I came into the health and wellness industry as a runner, a power lifter and tackle football player but I always found myself drawn to the softness of yoga. I fell in love with the unique power that came from hot yoga and its ability to draw out my truest self.

I was called to teach and completed my training through Best Bet teacher training at Spark in 2022. Since then I’ve absorbed as much knowledge as I can and have expanded my practice to include Hatha, Power, Sculpt, Yin, Nidra, Pre and Postnatal Yoga.

When I’m not in studio you can find me wrapped up with the love of my life, coffee in hand, swooning over my newborn baby or hanging out with my teenagers. Never known to pass up a good book, a deep belly laugh or live music.

Timory Malone

Timory started practicing yoga in her teens in an attempt to avoid gym class and has never looked back! She teaches all class styles and believes in the transformative powers of a laugh and a moment of quiet (both of which can be achieved during a yoga class).
